This is where the magic happens.

I like to think of this page as the brains of the operation. It's the FAQ's for how we get you moving in your preferred direction.

Are you ready to finally ditch the boring comfort zone that's keeping you stuck and making you feel so damn unfulfilled?

Good! You’re in the right place and it’s time you took charge of your life and where you want it to go.

I see it over and over again.  You’re an ambitious woman whose followed all the steps to success.  You got educated.  You did your share of menial tasks, worked your way up the corporate ladder, and now you’ve reached this mid-career milestone and you’re standing on the top of that ladder going, “Is this it?”

You tell yourself you’re stuck here.  You have a mortgage to pay, and a lifestyle you’re used to, yet the idea of spending another 15 or 20 or so years in this comfort zone is a downright miserable thought.  It’s not that things are awful, but you have this deep yearning that there is something more for you and even though you try to ignore it, it doesn’t seem to be going away.

When stuck in this place, I bet you react in one (or more) of these ways:

PROCRASTINATION

You can do your job with your eyes shut and because it isn't a challenge anymore, you rarely get excited to work on it. You put it off until you absolutely have to do it, but even then you still struggle with getting started. The only thing that might "save" you here is if you also struggle with perfectionism. In that case, you'll just add extra stress while you're busy putting off work.

SELF-SABOTAGE

You start to entertain the idea of going towards your dreams, but then it gets a little unfamiliar, so you start second-guessing yourself. Eventually you find a way to make sure you sabotage any chances of it actually happening. "You know, I don't think I really want that promotion after all." or "I don't have ALL the qualifications they're asking for."

INNER CRITIC

You start to preface statements with, "Yes, but" or "I can't possibly," or "there's no way" and you systematically start killing your dreams. One by one you start giving yourself excuses for why you'll never be able to have the life you really want. "It just isn't possible." "Be realistic." "You know you aren't good enough for that promotion anyway. Why bother even trying."

SOUND FAMILIAR?

You need to decide if you're going to start to listen to the inner nudge urging you toward a life that fulfills you, or you're going stick with the unfulfilling, boring comfort zone.

Let's Call Out The Real Issue Here...

FEAR

I've got some great news for you though!

YOUR LIMITING BELIEFS ARE NOT THE TRUTH.

All those reasons why you think you can’t have what you truly want are completely false.  They’re programs – stories we heard about ourselves growing up and took on as truth – and until you unearth them, they will continue to rule your life.

I won't bore you with the details, but it's so important to understand why trying to "talk yourself into or out of" action doesn't work.

Limiting beliefs run deep.  They almost always have a root somewhere in childhood.  The thing to know is that before the age of 8, your brain is still in the land of the limbic (as in, the survival settings are active).  Since your rational brain isn’t working yet, it works on feelings and emotions.

So when your mom insists you must eat your broccoli and you don’t want to, you might interpret the situation as your mom doesn’t love you: “If she loved me, she wouldn’t make me eat this disgusting green tree.  I can’t believe my mom doesn’t love me.”

Silly example, but it gets my point across.  As kids we can create some pretty powerful beliefs based on some huge misconceptions (of course, sometimes things aren’t misconceptions at all).  It doesn’t matter whether you had a tough time growing up or everything was rainbows and unicorns, we ALL carry stuff and until we sort it out, we’ll continue to self-sabotage.  LOGIC ALMOST NEVER WINS IN A DUEL WITH EMOTIONS.

EMOTION

HERE'S WHERE WE GET TO THE GOOD PART - WHAT ACTUALLY WORKS!

I speak the language of the limbic – known as the subconscious mind. I have a toolbox full of a variety of techniques that are designed to get to the source and get you moving in the right direction.

But really, the most important thing for you to note here is that if you want, you can absolutely get over these limiting beliefs that are holding you back and ditch that comfort zone permanently!

Whatever it is that you really want is absolutely available to you. It’s a choice though, and you’re the only one who can make it.

It's pretty easy to stay in your comfort zone, to live Groundhog Day over and over and over.  But what is it costing you?

Are you really willing to spend the next 10, 15, 20 years of your life being bored and frustrated?

ARE YOU READY TO DITCH THE COMFORT ZONE?

To finally say, enough is enough and take back your power?

THEY SAY A PICTURE IS WORTH 1000 WORDS. I TEND TO AGREE.
This is how it works:
  1. You make the choice to do this.  Without 100% of your being wanting the change, it won’t be worth your (or my) time.  Yes, you might feel some fear, or maybe some nervousness – that’s normal – but if there’s a part of you saying no, it will sabotage you every time.
  2. Do you have 15 minutes a day to dedicate to listening to your 100% unique hypnosis recording for the duration of our time together?  Taking on new empowering beliefs is like riding a bike, the more you do it, the easier it gets and then it’s wired into your brain forever.  No one gets on a bike expecting to be an expert the very first time.
  3. Can you accept that things are going to change in your life?  Strangely enough, some people are attached to their stories no matter how miserable it makes them.  I always ask!
If you can do these three things, let’s have a conversation.  Let’s talk about your wants, your goals, your desires for your life.  Let’s make a plan to get you there and then start the process of making change.  This is the magic.  I live for the magic and I want you to live for it too.

I accept new clients by application only – though not the kind of application that you stress over, I promise.  My objective for doing this is purely to make sure we’re a good fit.  This is good for the both of us and I’ll tell you all about it on our call (that you can book by just clicking on that pink “BOOK NOW” button above).

FROM THIS POINT FORWARD IT'S THE FAQS

If you’re curious about hypnosis, whether it will actually work for you, or if it will make you do things you don’t want to do, I highly suggest you keep reading.

TL;DR: you’ll be fine and you won’t spill your secrets or act like a chicken.

Prerequisites for an exceptional session

Can You Follow Instructions?

Yes? Good. That's one milestone out of the way. Hypnosis requires you to follow instructions. Don't worry, these will always be in your highest good - no clucking chickens I promise.

Do You Think You Can Be Successful?

If you answered no to this question, save your money. If you think you can't be hypnotized or that it just isn't going to work for you, then guess what? It won't.

Do You Want The Change You Are Seeking?

Think hard on this one. Are you doing it for anyone else besides yourself? Did your partner, doctor, mother, ask you to do this? If so, let's connect when you want the change. I cannot make you do anything you don't want to do with hypnosis. NOTHING.

The Bottom Line...

You can get fantastic results with hypnosis, but you need to be aware that your results will depend on you as much as me. My role is to guide you towards your goals, help you discover your path, and in general, help you to become the best version of yourself. If you don’t have a strong motivation to be guided towards these intentions then I’m of little value.

Frequently Asked Questions

Debunking the Myths & Misconceptions

Am I going to lose control of my free-will and be coerced into doing things I don’t want to do?

NO: Sadly, this myth is perpetuated by the stage shows done for entertainment purposes.  The key point to remember is that all hypnosis is self-hypnosis, meaning that the hypnotist is merely the passenger in the car with the map.  The hypnotist gives the directions, but the client is driving the car at all times and is in complete control. It doesn’t matter if the passenger wants to take a different route because the driver is always in control of the destination.  Sadly, this means that you can’t hypnotize your kids to make their beds or your spouse to do the chores if they just don’t want to!

Am I going to let my guard down and disclose all my secrets or deepest, darkest thoughts?

NO: If you refer back to myth #1, the same principle applies. You are in the driver’s seat and there is nothing that a hypnotist can ask you to do or say that would go against your free-will. We all have our own moral-compass or value systems and asking you ANYTHING that you don’t want to disclose will activate this. You will become fully aware that you are being asked to do something that goes against your values and you will reject it or outright end the hypnosis session. My job is to help you succeed and create the best-possible version of yourself. I’m not going to be very successful at this job if you walk away feeling any emotion other than one of confidence and success.

Only people who are weak-willed and gullible can be hypnotized.

FALSE: This is wholly untrue. According to the famous hypnotist Dave Elman, anyone who can follow instructions can be hypnotized. If you can daydream, get caught up in a movie, or find yourself at home without recalling your drive there, you can be hypnotized. Hypnosis actually is most successful in normal, everyday, intelligent people. Consider it a sign of intelligence to be able to be hypnotized! But don’t fret if you don’t get into it the first time either! Sometimes we need to experience something first before we can let our guard down. This is perfectly normal and doesn’t reflect your intelligence!

Am I going to fall asleep or go unconscious?

NO: Hypnosis is actually a state of hyper-focus. In a state of hypnosis, your brain waves are generally moving back and forth between a few types of brain waves:alpha and theta. These waves put you in a place of learning and mind-body connection. Sleep and unconsciousness are actually different states and brain waves, mainly delta. You may find you are so relaxed that you could feel like sleeping but it’s my job to keep you in that focused state and not a sleepy one!

I had a friend who tried hypnosis and it didn’t work.

Here at Attune Hypnosis, I strive to make sure everyone is satisfied. I can’t speak to what may have occurred with another practitioner, but like most services, sometimes you have more success with one person over another. As well, it’s critical to understand that unless a person truly wants change, hypnosis will not work better than any other method. If you take a look back to the first myth, you’ll notice that a hallmark requirement of successful hypnosis is a willing participant. No hypnotist can MAKE you do something you don’t want to do. Sometimes on the surface, we think we want change, but when we dig deep down, our subconscious has other priorities.

I want my partner to stop ____! Can I buy them a few sessions as a gift?

Though I believe that everyone can benefit from hypnosis, we cannot convince others to do something they don’t want to do. If your partner doesn’t genuinely want to stop the behavior then hypnosis will not be effective.
